Opening of Hospice in the Weald's new Cottage Hospice

Huw Merriman has been elected as the Vice Chairman of the Fairtrade Group in Parliament.

This Government is a government focused on investment in infrastructure and revolutionising the public transport system.

Members of the A21 Reference Group met in Parliament to step up their campaign to see the road dualled all the way to the South coast.

In my first speech as Chairman of the Transport Select Committee, I set out my main focuses which include hydrogen powered trains, automatic rail compensation, innovations to clean up the transport carbon footprint, and improving the bus services.

Bexhill Jobs & Apprenticeships Fair, one of the most exciting employment and skills events on the south coast, is back at the De La Warr Pavilion for the 5th year on Friday 6 March 2020.

You’d have thought that MPs would have had enough of elections but, inside, we’ve been at it again with the elections for the Chairs of the House of Commons Select Committees.

Last night, Bexhill and Battle MP, Huw Merriman, was elected as Chairman of the Transport Select Committee in the House of Commons in a contest voted on by the 650 MPs across all political parties.

Following a long campaign, on Friday 31st January at 12.30, Battle MP, Huw Merriman, will open a new a 24-hour free-to-use cash machine outside the new Costa Coffee Shop in Battle High Street.
