Combatting Coronavirus is Parliament’s Priority

The week in Parliament has been dominated by the spread of Coronavirus and the delivery of the Budget. The chief theme of the Budget was to provide reassurance and support for the country during the short-term as we deal with the likely spread of Coronavirus. There were three themes.

The cost of social care is set to rise of the next decade as the number of elderly in our society increases. This is especially true in Bexhill & Battle as we have 30% of residents over the age of 65.

Support for Fairtrade

In our community, we are well served by groups who campaign for better across the county, country and the wider world. I enjoy working with these groups and regularly receive their delegations and lobbies. One such group who I work closely with are the Bexhill Fairtrade group.
