It was a case of back to school for many in the constituency and back to Parliament for me and for many MPs. Some have questioned why MPs are going back if they are able to work and vote remotely.

During an Urgent Question on Abortion Regulations for Northern Ireland today I kept up the pressure to ensure women in Northern Ireland receive the abortion rights which we in Parliament voted to give them. A good debate led by a Minister who will ensure the law is followed.

I was granted an Urgent Question to the Transport Minister, Kelly Tolhurst, to ask her to make a statement on Covid-19 and the economic impact on Aviation.

As Chairman of the Transport Select Committee I am also part of the Liaison Committee, which considers the overall work of select committees and scrutinises the Government. The Prime Minister is asked to attend about 3 times a year.

This week in Parliament has involved virtual participation from East Sussex and one day of physical attendance in Westminster to chair my Select Committee

In today's Urgent Question on Coronavirus and Care Homes, I raised with the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care getting more care workers through the Bexhill Coronavirus Testing Centre. The delay in getting it linked up to the central system has been frustrating.

During today's Transport Oral Questions I was granted an intervention in my role as Chairman of the Transport Select Committee.

On Monday, I chaired the Transport Select Committee's second inquiry session into 'Coronavirus and the Implications on Aviation'. The inquiry will be held in three parts. During the second session, I ask a series of questions to the CEO of International Airlines Group, Willie Walsh.
