Heathfield Residents:
From 20th December, Heathfield and Firs GP surgery are offering Covid boosters at Heathfield Community Centre, this is their message:
"Heathfield & Firs surgeries are pleased to announce that we will be running a week of Covid Booster Vaccination clinics from the 20th of December to the morning of the 24th of December. All the clinics will be held in the Heathfield Community Centre on Sheepsetting Lane.
We will be administering the Pfizer booster vaccine. You are eligible to have this if you are 18 and over and you have completed the 2-dose course of either the AZ vaccine or the Pfizer vaccine 3 months ago or more. If you have recently tested positive for Covid-19, the booster vaccine can be administered 28 days after having had a positive PCR test result or the first day of symptoms.
The morning clinics will run from 9am to 1pm. These will be pre-booked appointments. We will be calling all our patients aged 70 and over, who are still in need of a booster, as a priority. But others are welcome to call the surgery to book an appointment. We ask patients to call after 10am and not before, as this is when patients are booking GP appointments and we must keep the phone Iines free for this. The afternoon clinics will run from 2pm to 4pm. We will not be able to accept anyone if they arrive after 3.45pm. These will be walk-in clinics for all eligible patients and General Public please bring your NHS number. There will be no clinic on the afternoon of the 24th of December.
Parking is limited at the Community centre so please consider parking nearby in other local carparks and making a short walk to the centre.
Please note that all GP and Nurse clinics are running as normal at the Heathfield and Firs Surgeries.
We are all working extremely hard to deliver this vaccination programme to our patients and are very happy to have fully vaccinated and boosted so many of you so far!
Thank you for your ongoing support."
