Huw and local District Councillors were given a tour of the Stone Cross Windmill, now fully operational and selling stoneground flour to the community. Trustee and volunteer Peter Bell gave Huw and the Councillors a tour to visit the roundel, mill store and other parts of this wonderful working structure. Conservative-run East Sussex and Wealden District Councils contributed to the cost of this restoration which was led by the Stone Cross Windmill trustees. Huw said “We were indebted to the Windmill trust for showing us around and delighted with the flour which we were given (for our donation). This is a wonderful example of a community rallying together to restore this wonderful beacon on our skyline.”
