School Funding Lobby in Parliament

Ensuring that our local schools are adequately funded has been a cause for me since coming to Parliament. Last month, I welcomed the extra finance from the Government which will see schools in the constituency receive, on average, an extra 6% on top of their budgets.

Voting on Public Sector Pay Cap Amendment

One year on from its re-opening, the Government Minister for Small Business, Margot James, has praised Heathfield’s Post Office, and its Postmaster, Mr Sanjiv Patel. Mr Patel had taken on the community’s Post Office following a twelve month period where no service had been available at all.

Local MP for Bexhill and Battle, Huw Merriman, held talks with the Secretary of State for Education, Justine Greening, on Monday to discuss the funding levels for local schools and early years providers.

Statement on Westminster Attack
