Update from South East Water

Please see below an update I recieved from David Hinton CEO of South East Water about the recent Temporary Use Ban and the steps they are taking to ensure a reliable water network.

Northeye Update, 22 June

Last month, I submitted a series of questions to the Home Office regarding the Northeye proposal that had been raised with me by residents of the Northeye estate.

Huw encourages visits to local vineyards this English Wine Week

Local MP Huw Merriman is encouraging people to visit the local area not only this English Wine Week, (18th – 25th June) but also throughout the summer, to try the fantastic Sussex Wines on offer at number of vineyards in the constituency and to help boost tourism and the local economy.

Temporary Use Ban June 2023

As I am sure that many of you are aware, South East Water has introduced a temporary hosepipe ban.  There is no set end date, South East Water have said they will be reviewing the situation every 7 days.  I will be sure to share any updates I receive with you. 

Latest water test results mean good news for Bexhill bathing

Last August, during a similar heatwave to the one we are currently experiencing, Bexhill beach was closed due to a sewage spill incident from the Galley Hill pumping station. This was devastating news for residents, visitors and businesses who were enjoying a great summer season.
