A one-off evidence session to question Sir Peter Hendy CBE, who was appointed as the Secretary of State for Transport’s Adviser on Christmas travel preparedness.
Due to coronavirus restrictions, the public were only permitted to travel between 23 and 27 December. This led to concerns that the transport network would be particularly busy given the shorter travel window and reduced capacity on trains and other public transport modes due to social distancing measures.
