Yesterday, in a second round of indicative votes I set out my reasons for voting for the Kyle-Wilson amendment, which would involve putting the Prime Minister's Withdrawal Agreement to a public vote.

Huw asks Home Secretary about the future of the Premier League

In Parliament, Huw continued to share his love of Arsenal with the Speaker and asked the Home Secretary to ensure that Britain would continue to attract young talent from Europe to play in the Premier League after Britain’s exit from the EU.

I am receiving a lot of correspondence from constituents on the UK's withdrawal from the EU on which the outcome is yet to be determined. I have therefore written this update with an invite to my constituents to a public meeting to come and hear more and have your say. 

Transport Select Committee: Taxi and Private Hire Reform

The Task and Finish Group (TFG) on Taxi and Private Hire Vehicle Licensing was commissioned in 2017 by the Department of Transport to investigate current regulatory legislation in the taxi and private hire sector.

Huw asks Defence Minister what more is being done to support veterans

In Parliament, Huw asked the Defence Minister what more was being done to support veterans’ access to support services and what engagement the Ministry of Defence (MoD) had had with the charity sector, which he said had played an “amazing role” in enhancing veteran support.  

Leasehold Reform: Select Committee Report

Following my PMQ on leasehold reform, I have been working with other MPs across Parliament to reform an area of law which is ripping off many of my constituents. In Parliament, I welcomed a new Select Committee report and put my support behind their reforms.
