Huw talks tourism at the Bexhill Town Forum

At a packed and lively Bexhill Town Forum meeting last Friday, the town’s MP, Huw Merriman, spoke enthusiastically about the significance of the De La Warr Pavilion in attracting visitors to the town.  

Robertsbridge students lobby their local MP

Bexhill and Battle MP, Huw Merriman, joined the Citizenship GCSE students at Robertsbridge Community College last Friday to share ideas and his experience of successful campaigning.

Giving full resources to our schools

In addition to visiting local schools, and jobbing as a lollipop man, I have had three schools visit Parliament this week for a Q&A. I have also been using my voice in Parliament to support the funding needs of our local schools.

In our final part of the Transport Select Committee’s inquiry to the bus market, I asked for better regulation to ensure that bus companies must provide services in the public good. I also asked for more powers to regulate.
