Dear Business Owner/Manager,

High Street businesses are the backbone of the Bexhill community and are a large part of what makes this town such a special place. I would like to hear your ideas on what you think should be the future priorities for our town.

Since being elected as MP for the Bexhill and Battle Constituency in 2015, I have persistently worked and lobbied to get Bexhill and Rother recognised by central government as an area which needs more direct investment and support.

Bexhill-on-Sea has been selected as one of the first 55 towns to benefit from the new £20 million Long-Term Plan for Towns package announced by the Prime Minister, Rishi Sunak.  This new package of funding and support, follows two earlier funding awards, each worth £20 million, which will help deliver levelling up in our area.

The first £20 million was awarded in January 2023 as a result of Rother’s successful bid to the Levelling Up Fund which I was actively involved in. This will be spent on projects in Bexhill and Sidley. In summer 2023, Rother was awarded Levelling Up Partnership status which provides a further £20 million of funding and support which will be allocated to a number of projects in Bexhill and Rother.
