Foreign Travel Advice
The Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) advises British people travelling abroad to return to the UK now, if commercial flights are still available. This advice was published on 23 March and takes effect immediately.
International travel is becoming very limited as air routes close, land borders close and new restrictions are put in place that prevent flights from leaving.
The latest guidance can be found on the FCO's "Travel advice: coronavirus" page. Experts continue to monitor the situation and any possible changes to travel advice will be informed by the best possible scientific advice.
For those who are struggling to return to the UK, further advice is available here.

Restricting entry to the UK
At this point the Government is not restricting entry to the UK, however there are a number of enhanced checks in place for arrivals from the most severely impacted areas. For example, direct flights from these areas are required to provide a declaration to airport authorities stating that all their passengers are well, prior to landing. Experts continue to monitor the situation and any possible changes will be informed by the best possible scientific advice.
